Israeli border police on Tuesday thwarted a stabbing attack when they arrested a female Arab terrorist at the Cave of the Patriarchs who had two knives concealed in her belongings.
The Police spokesman said in a statement that “border police arrested a Palestinian female age 30 with two knives in her bag before carrying out a stabbing attack.”
“She behaved suspiciously and border police searched her bag and discovered the knives,” the statement continued, adding “Security measures continue by police and border police to prevent terrorist attacks.”
The attempted attack comes a day after a Palestinian Authority security officer opened fire on Israeli soldiers outside of Beit El, north of Jerusalem.
Three soldiers were wounded, one seriously, from the shooting, while the Arab terrorist was eliminated in the subsequent firefight.
