A soldier was lightly wounded by a rock thrower on Highway 60 near Beit Omer in Gush Etzion area Thursday evening, according to rescue services.

The Arab terrorist was shot by security forces, after failing to respect calls to stop, and was being treated by the Red Crescent.

According to Arab sources, the terrorist died of his wounds.

Arab media also stated that he was 16-years-old.

“The terrorist threw rocks at a IDF unit, resulting in one soldier being lightly injured,” according to a military spokesperson.

“Forces responded to the terror attack, which included firing shots in the direction” of the terrorist.

The IDF is currently investigating the incident, the spokesperson added.
