A Calgary police officer suffered injuries during a terror attack at a Calgary shopping mall.

Calgary EMS spokesman Nate Pike says first responders were called to the Marlborough Mall in the city’s east end Saturday afternoon.

Pike says a Calgary police officer was taken to hospital in what is described as stable, non life threatening condition with soft-tissue injuries.

The machete wielding terrorist was shot by Police officers and taken to hospital in critical, life-threatening condition.

Pike says he doesn’t believe the officer’s injuries were the result of a firearm.

Police could not immediately be reached for comment.

A witness told a Calgary Herald reporter that a person ran through Marlborough Mall with a machete. It appears police subdued the terrorist, resulting in one officer injured.
